Welcome to Self-Denial 2025—Hope Revealed
Our NextGen resources includes Kids Ministry four-week programme, Youth Bible Study Sheets, Giving Box and Intergenerational children’s video series.
Hope Revealed is the theme for this Self-Denial season. Hope is believing that something good can come out of something bad. This is an awesome opportunity to understand what hope is and how God reveals himself to us and others through the ministry of The Salvation Army.
Kids Ministry Four-Week Programme
We are super excited to provide you with a four-week Kids Ministry programme that not only promotes Self-Denial but is an opportunity to bring an intentional focus by taking your children and their families on a journey that continues to foster and grow their understanding about ‘Hope Revealed’ and the sacrificial lifestyle that God requires of us.
We have decided not to do a six-week programme as Self-Denial starts at the end of the school holidays. Our suggestion is that you mark your diaries and start the programme on July 20 for four weeks. The children and their families can participate in Altar Service Sunday on August 17 together.
The four-week series will give you a programme to follow and room to add your own creativity. As part of the programme there is the four-week video series, the option of making your own ‘Giving Box’ or a template for the children to make and decorate. There will also be a take home sheet for families to choose to participate in some weekly challenges, a reminder of the memory verse and opportunity to look at stories in the Bible.
